Tweed gives green light for Sceniq – early works commence

Council Construction Certificate issued for Sceniq Bilambil Heights:  Published 1 November, 2023.

We are very pleased to announce that Tweed Shire Council recently issued a Construction Certificate for the Sceniq development.

What does that mean?

A Construction Certificate is required before any construction can begin on a development site, even if it has a development approval in place.

This recent approval essentially means civil works can now commence on site at Sceniq, in accordance with the previously approved development plans for a 100 lot residential community.  The above artist’s impression shows the development layout which will be commenced shortly.  A full masterplan and Stage 1 release is available by request below.

As this development was approved some time ago, Sceniq had already received a very strong level of enquiry over the past two years, mostly from local residents in the Tweed Shire looking to build their dream new home.  However, prior to undertaking a full sales launch for the project, the developer wanted to be certain of the timing of commencing the construction program, and ultimately the delivery date of completed homesites for purchasers – to give comfort around their settlement, building and move-in program.

Appointment of the civil contractor is underway, and site clearing works have already commenced on site (see below), with a full earthworks program due to commence in March 2024.  More details will be shared on the timing of Sceniq shortly, including the proposed settlement timeline and an introduction to the civil and project sales teams.
